Believe me, I had to be dragged kicking and screaming from color and texture. But I have to sometimes concede that what makes a good painting may not always be synonymous with what may sell wine. They had a vision of tradition and wanted more of an old world look. Maybe they thought the horse on the weathervane was redundant since it appears on the logo above the art. In the end, I think I achieved the look they were after and I’m pleased with the outcome.

I really want to see the label in real life. I think your first painting definitely looks more inviting with the saturated colors and contrast but seeing the label itself with all the white space, I think I know where the client was coming from. The first would make a better painting on its own but the second really works for the label. Great job on all your work this week.
