That started a kitsch tradition in my family of breaking out the same candle at everyone’s birthday for the past thirty eight years. Poor Ziggy’s once domed head is now a sunken melted crater. Hardly recognizable, It’s morphed from the iconic character created by Mr. Wilson into a symbolic connection to my late father.
