He was the best dog, I will miss dog sitting , him sleeping in my bed and sitting on the back of my chair with his one paw on my shoulder. I,M SO SORRY

I am so sorry to hear about Bernie, but am glad he is not suffering any more. I have some very happy memories of bernie and will miss him a lot.

Will miss my little part time pet. Always had to be careful not to roll over on him when we “doggy sat” while you folks were in Wildwood as his spot on the bed was “in the middle”. He can now hunt for and hide the great dingo in the sky. My best to you guys.

I will remember Bernie as the lovable companion that he was for the last twelve years. While our other dog Harry was content to sit out in the sun for hours or dedicate himself to keeping squirrels off our property, Bernie only wanted to go out to do his business, then he’d high tail it back inside to be with people. He was most content on Alyssa or Donna’s lap, but he was happy being anywhere that people were. he’d sit on the back of the couch when you watched TV and put a paw on your shoulder. If he couldn’t be with people, he’d settle for a garment or a shoe with your scent on it. It says a lot about Bernie that he would choose to lie on top of my lumpy gym bag or a pair of shoes over the most comfortable chaise lounge.. He loved to be with us and we loved him in return.

Rest in peace Bernie.

I had the pleasure of “owning” Bernie for a few weeks a year during vacation time. I actually looked forward to it. There was a standing joke that I spoiled him with treats and sleeping in my bed. I will miss my little buddy so much but I thank you guys for allowing me to watch over him and hope that he will watch over me in that place where all good dogs go. Goodbye Bernie, my little companion. I will always love you. And Larry the pictures of him are wonderful….
