One funny incident surrounding said theme song. I was a young art student studying landscape painting in France. Most of the students were from Parsons in New York, but one student was apparently the daughter of a French aristocrat, complete with a title and a castle. In appreciation for accepting his daughter into the fold of artists traipsing around the countryside, he graciously hosted an elaborate dinner party for the entire group.

The wine was flowing liberally when our host asks if we Americans could grace them with songs of our country. In what I am sure was an attempt to embarrass me, my good friend Michael D. makes an announcement that Larry would like to sing a song. The wine got the better of me as I broke right into a drunken rendition of the theme song to Underdog. Our hosts smiled graciously in spite of how wildly inappropriate it was for the occasion.
