Larry, Paul’s look is sad for sure. Betrayal is a hard one to forgive and it’s probably one of many betrayals in what is showing itself to be a blessed, gifted, and what’s more a healthy long life. I am most likely not alone in always being a “Beatles fan!” Pat

Agreed. I’ve heard McCartney retell the story, complete with falsetto MJ impersonation. You can tell he never forgave him for that.

It bothered me.

I thought MJ purchase of the Beatles catalog was really slimey. Paul McCartney tells Michael Jackson about publishing and the power of owning catalogs, then he uses that new found knowledge to purchase the Beatles catalog?!? That was a low blow in my opinion.

I read McCartney’s worth was estimated to be over one $ billion, but I know it bothers him that he doesn’t own his own work.

I believe the Beatles catalog will continue to make music industry news for quite a while.

Although Paul McCartney has done relatively well for himself financially, I’m sure he wished he owned the catalog to songs he helped write and occasionally performs.

With all the past VH-1 Behind the Scenes television episodes and information available I find it amazing that musicians do little to fight for their catalog or obtain the rights to the works of other recording artists.
