<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Ball point pen on today's newsprint</em></p>
<p>This story peaked my interest this morning. I thought that academic philosophy and religious belief were mutually exclusive. At least it seemed that way when I studied Philosophy in college with the great <a href="http://philosopedia.org/index.php/Paul_Edwards">Paul Edwards</a>. But Alvin Plantinga has written a new book called <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Where-Conflict-Really-Lies-Naturalism/dp/0199812098/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1323870923&amp;sr=1-1">“Where the Conflict Really Lies: Science, Religion and Naturalism.”</a> where the unapologetic theist argues against atheism.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/14/books/alvin-plantingas-new-book-on-god-and-science.html?_r=1&amp;scp=1&amp;sq=phylosophy%20god&amp;st=cse">today's NYT</a></p>
<p><span id="more-6804"></span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6813" title="Paul_Edwards" src="https://www.roibal.us/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Paul_Edwards.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="227" />I still keep my College Philosophy text, edited and inscribed by Mr. Edwards in arms reach.</p>
