Bloom attended Harvard Business School, spent ten years at investment banks as is known for his negotiating skills.The position is being vacated by Steve Rattner, who is leaving under a cloud of suspicion for his alleged involvement in NYS pension kickbacks.

This morning, in perhaps his final act as President of the United States, George W. Bush is doing what the legislative branch fail to, bail out the big 3 U.S. automakers. In the eleventh hour, Bush was forced to concede what the majority of Americans have come to believe, ideology is less important than a competent and timely handling of issues in the best interest of the country, given the current set of facts.

In normal times Bush said he would not be in favor of government intervening in the bankruptcy process but "In the midst of a financial crisis and a recession, allowing the U.S. auto industry to collapse is not a responsible course of action,"
