]]> George_FloydTwo nights ago I fell asleep with the television on watching a news channel. I don't know how long I slept, through countless news segments and commercial breaks. no doubt. Then I heard the words "I can't breathe." and I woke right up. Anyone who has had children has experienced this phenomenon. You're so tired you feel like you could sleep through anything and then your baby fusses in a crib down the hall and you wake right away to make sure they're okay. I imagine it's some basic human instinct to care for the vulnerable and ensure our collective survival. Anyway, my children are grown and I hadn't experienced that in a while. I woke the following morning and started this drawing. I want to donate it. If anyone has a charity that would like to own or auction it, please contact me. Charcoal on toned Canson paper 16" x 20".
