On day one of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, some of Ron Paul's delegates walked out in protest, while others wore clothes pins on their noses over decisions to strip delegates from Paul and make rule changes that would make it harder for non-establishment candidates in future elections.

New Jersey's Governor Christie gave the key note address at 10:40 pm. I'm not going to pretend I saw it. I wanted to stay awake, I really did. If you were awake you're welcome to tell us how he did.

Gravitational time dilation

Another Jersey guy, Albert Einstein, theorized that a clock in a gravitational field runs more slowly according to the gravitational time dilation. Christie's 15 minutes did seem to last an eternity.

In a tape released yesterday by Mother Jones Magazine , republican governor Chris Christie claimes that democrat NJ Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver made a back room deal to get Republicans to support her speakership after she supported cuts to public-workers benefits. Oliver denies it.
