It seems that those big headphones from my youth are making a comeback. Not to protect others from the listener's choice of music but to protect the wearer from all of the unwelcome cell phone chatter around them while traveling. I am very sympathetic. Recently New Jersey Transit designated two quiet cars on all rush hour trains. All phones turned off - I love it.
