Ball point pen on today's newsprint

Having just driven up the west coast from Los Angeles to San Francisco along California's picturesque route 1, the California coast and lifestyle are on my radar. No one personified said lifestyle more than Terry Tracy, the laid-back dude that dropped out of the rat race in the 1950's, lived in a shack on Malibu beach, surfed, partied and inspired the Gidget books, movies and television show. Tracy was 77.
