An exciting match that saw the US squander some early opportunities, Abby Wambach's fourth goal of the tournament (all courtesy of her head) The US marching towards certain victory in regulation and extra time, only to see Japan come back on both occasions sending it to penalty kicks to decide the victory.

    Was that a stressful game or what?! I was so hoping our gals would win, but the Japanese really deserve some good things as well, and they played a great game. Love these!

    Stressful indeed. I was coming out of my skin waiting for the defense to clear the ball. ugh... Great story for the Japanese team though.
