Ball point pen on today's newsprint Taste of Honey opened on October 4th 1960 on Broadway at the Lyceum Theater staring Angela Lansbury and Billy Dee Williams. Ms Delaney was 19 years old when she wrote the honest portrayal of a Lancashire teenage girl that falls for a black sailor. George Booth drew a fabulous July 4th cover that had so much white space, it seemed to be calling out to doodlers like me.
