Ball point pen on the morning newsprint
Young, Ethnic, Southern, Conservative, McCain might choose Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. Personally, I think McCain might do better running to the center and courting the independents, but it could make for an interesting campaign.

I tend to agree with you on this one! Wonderful portrait of him--I immediately recognized him.
ps funny--I wondered if you would select to do him today!
On paper, it looks strategically like a good choice. Youth- he's ten years younger than Obama. Ethnic-born Piyush Jindal, the son of Indian immigrant parents. Intellect-turned down Harvard and Yale to study at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. Southern-it's always about the south. But the uber-conservative who is against stem cell research and abortion for any reason is part of the religious right, courting Louisiana's Pentecostal and Baptist vote...That could link him to an unpopular administration that McCain is trying to distance himself from,....and with a recall petition in his own home state, he might not add to the electoral college.
